The Great Northern band

Class is in session this Sunday—and the lesson plan? Roots, rock, and rhythm,  by none other than The Great Northern, a Minnesota-based band where the spirit of Americana rolls through every note like a freight train across the prairie. This five-piece crew of seasoned musicians is a living jukebox of American soul—pulling in the best of country, folk, bluegrass, rock and roll, and blues. One minute you’re swaying to Gillian Welch, the next you’re dancing barefoot to Springsteen or harmonizing with Willie, Merle, and Emmylou under the vines. Think of it as a musical reunion on the back porch of history—with guitar licks, banjo twangs, and harmonies warm as a summer breeze through the classroom window.

We’ve got hot pizzas, chilled wines, and sweet desserts ready to pass the taste test.  Music plays from 3 to 6 PM, and it’s shaping up to be a picture-perfect Sunday in the valley.So, grab your seat (on a blanket or a bench), pour a glass, and let The Great Northern take you on a Sunday Road trip—no permission slip required.
