Dennis Cooper Live on the Garden Stage

This Sunday afternoon, we’re striking up the music and lighting the bonfire as we welcome back Dennis Cooper to the Forestville Vines Garden Stage.

Dennis is a familiar face (and voice!) in our community — a retired professor from the University of Wisconsin–River Falls who swapped lecture halls for guitars and never missed a beat. His love for teaching and storytelling now shines through in his music, where he blends acoustic folk, classic country, and rock favorites from the ‘50s, ‘60s, and ‘70s.

Expect heartfelt tributes to the Everly Brothers, timeless singalongs that tug at your memory bank, and guitar work that feels both seasoned and soulful. Dennis is also a nature hiker and photographer, with the same gift for capturing beauty in a trail or a melody as he does in a snapshot. Around River Falls, you’ll find him helping coordinate Music in the Park — proof that he’s as dedicated to building community as he is to performing.
